A new store for a Memphis original, with its history intact

Lansky Bros.' old platform couldn't do what the Memphis clothier needed, and years of customer and order records had to come along to whatever replaced it. We built a custom Shopify site with better ways to find and save products, and migrated those records over.

The problem

Lansky Bros. is a Memphis clothier with a famous Elvis Presley connection, and its site serves people who know the shops as well as fans finding it from far away. The old platform couldn’t do what Lansky needed. Moving off it meant thinking about how people browse and also about how years of customer and order records would make the trip.

What we did

We built a custom Shopify site, with styling that keeps Lansky’s established look. Predictive search suggests products as you type, and expanded sorting and filters narrow the choices. Shareable wishlists let people save picks and pass them along. Newsletter signup and an Instagram connection give people more ways to keep up with the store.

As part of the move, we migrated the existing customer and order history into Shopify.

What changed

Shoppers, whether they’re in Memphis or a long way off, have more ways to find something and hang on to it. Lansky is on a platform that fits the business now, and its customer and order history came along with it.
