Skinner Technology Group case study
Introducing a new cybersecurity firm without the hacker clichés
Skinner Technology Group was a new company built on its founder's two decades in cybersecurity, and it needed a brand and site that felt approachable. We built its launch identity and website around people using technology, with a page for each industry it served.

The problem
Mike Skinner founded Skinner Technology Group with more than two decades in cybersecurity. At launch the company offered risk and vulnerability assessments, advisory services, workforce support, training and awareness, for banks, healthcare groups, professional firms and small businesses. It needed a brand from scratch, and the dark, hooded-hacker imagery common in cybersecurity would’ve worked against the approachable message Skinner wanted.
What we did
We designed an STG monogram, a supporting color and type system, and illustrations of people using technology. Dedicated industry landing pages let a bank or a clinic start with its own sector and then move into the services. Branded promotional designs carried the look into launch materials.
What changed
Skinner launched with a full identity and a site that feels friendly for a cybersecurity firm. Visitors from each sector it serves have a page that starts with their world before getting into the technical side.
